"Not that I'm against Italians (I'm an American-born one), but this restaurant seems like a few Italians came to town and decided to make a bundle before they bail. The only thing special here is the homemade pasta; other than that, it's mediocre "gourmet" food. VERY expensive, very small portions. This is not a bad thing if the food is special, but it isn't. Everyone on staff here are real Italians, which makes the ambience nicer, but the hostess seemed startled to see us (?) and was not very friendly. The owner, however, made the rounds of tables and seemed very congenial (although she didn't come to our table). Don't bother, with all the other wonderful Italian restaurants in town." - DS

"I work in the hospitality industry, and was invited in by the owners for a meal. I did not feel welcome from the start. The hostess was rude to my wife and I. The waiter seemed as if he was auditioning for head geek at the nicest country club. The owners never came and introduced themselves, and the food was hideous." - bsm

"Tre Venezie is by far the most superior restaurant in Pasadena. Not only is the ambiance fabulous (very secluded and warm), but the food is remarkable and the wine list extensive. The service is always wonderful also." - sm
