"In a category by itself, Patria's Nuevo Latino food is a special mix of refinement and innovation that no one else has tried to tackle. Just reading the menu is an exciting experience (except for the sobering $65 pre-fixe price-- try the $19.99 lunch instead). Each appetizer or dish is a creative fusion concept, even the bread and butter offered with the meal is refreshingly new. But the food is solid, as is the service, and the decor makes Patria a great restaurant for both special occasions and culinary adventures. Check out the extensive wine list, touching on non-traditional offerings that span the globe." - tk posted Friday, October 22, 2004
"It was our 4th or 5th visit and our experiences were very good. On this occasion, we were treated very badly. Waited for 45 minutes for a table and were seated at the worst location in the restaurant. Then, we were ignored." - RAN posted Thursday, May 20, 2004
"Definitely a must, whether you live in NYC or you're just visiting. After the experience I had at Patria last night, I am going to tell everybody I know to stop by for dinner. We started off the evening with a beautiful bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, at the advice of the maitre'd. Magnifico! We had the ceviche tasting which were some of the most unique and delicious I've ever had. Oh, and how could I forget the cheese bread with the garlic butter - I would go back just for that! Anyway, the food was deliciously inventive, colorful, and not overwhelmingly large - just enough room for dessert! The staff at patria really made us feel welcome and treated us with special care. I will come back again and again!" - LAA posted Saturday, May 24, 2003
