REVIEWS "My husband took me for a romantic dinner at the Raymond. It was wonderful. The new owners have improved things quite a bit. Now the cooking is first rate and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. (instead of old grandmother, frumpy). It's so cozy and intimate there. We had terrific service. The service was the best I've ever experienced, with the waiters knowing what I needed, ever before I had to ask. The coffee is lovely, but the food, especially the Raymond curry, was what impressed me most. I had a huge generous piece of carrot cake for dessert (so big that I had to carry some home). "I went there this morning for brunch. My mistake. I'd heard it was pretty good. 17$ omeelettes? What's in them. OK I'll try it.Incomparibly bad service. Food never arrived. We left after 45 minutes.
