"My husband took me for a romantic dinner at the Raymond. It was wonderful. The new owners have improved things quite a bit. Now the cooking is first rate and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. (instead of old grandmother, frumpy). It's so cozy and intimate there. We had terrific service. And you should see the wine list. It's incredible. Definitely worth a try." - RL posted Monday, June 13, 2005
"We have gone to The Raymond for years. Since the change of ownership,we have been disappointed. It has lost the charm we use to enjoy. We do not like the new la carte pricing. We are now "shopping" for a new favoite restaraunt to enjoy. " - CBR posted Monday, April 11, 2005
"Went on a Friday nite for nice romantic dinner. Service was uncoordinated and average at best (maitre'd even stated: "we're a bit understaffed tonite"). Food was good but nothing exceptional. Grossly overpriced for what you get. I've had much better meals & service at half the cost. " - ta posted Friday, October 22, 2004

"The Raymond was a real discovery for me. It's great to find a nice peaceful retreat from the city life, and also be able to enjoy, fine american food at its best. We were served by a waitress named Carolyn, who was the most helpful and friendly waitress, I have ever encountered. My visit to the Raymond was not only enjoyable for the good food, but especially for the quality of its service." - MK posted Monday, May 7, 2001
"I went to the Raymond yesterday for brunch, and I have to say, it was exceptional in every way. The service was the best I've ever experienced, with the waiters knowing what I needed, ever before I had to ask. The coffee is lovely, but the food, especially the Raymond curry, was what impressed me most. I had a huge generous piece of carrot cake for dessert (so big that I had to carry some home). Detail seemed to be everything at this restaurant, and I will definatily return there again" - JH posted Thursday, May 3, 2001
"I went there this morning for brunch. My mistake. I'd heard it was pretty good. 17$ omeelettes? What's in them. OK I'll try it.Incomparibly bad service. Food never arrived. We left after 45 minutes. Great coffee. Wow, that's all I could say good? Sad, close the doors, go home. :-(" - MS posted Saturday, April 21, 2001
