REVIEWS
"C'mon. How is this not already reviewed? Thierrey Rautureau is a winner of the James Beard Award and one of the country's leading food innovators and probably the best hand with a sauce you'll EVER find. Rovers is so far and away the class of Seattle dining that second place is barely within shouting distance. The place is an old house in an unassuming neighborhood, looks like it was decorated by a committee of nouveau-leaning antique dealers, and ain't all that easy to find, even for natives. But miracles come out of the kitchen nightly. Yeah, it's PRICEY but it may well be, with The French Laundry, the only place on the Left Coast where $115 a meal really seems justified. The wine list is to die for and Thierrey is ten pounds of personality in a five pound bag. I've been a chef for 35 years and I'm not easily impressed but here, well, only a fool wouldn't be overwhelmed. Save the pennies and GO." - swb posted Friday, October 4, 2002
