"Actually in South Pas, One of the best in this area." - RB

"My husband and I visited Shiro tonight after reading many positive reviews and we were completely disappointed. We ordered the catfish, sea scallops, and creme brulee. The catfish was okay but you can stop by any Chinese restaurant in the San Gabriel Valley and get something 100% tastier for half of the price. The scallops we small and not worth my taste buds. The creme brulee was also a disppointment. Fruit in the watery dessert? The dinner did come with a SMALL plate of sides... the sides were a joke. The design of the restaurant and the service were also nothing to rave about. Everything was bland and uneasy to the eye. This is one of the worst restaurant we've ever been to. We feel like we've been cheated." - al

"A group of us went there a while back and were amazed at their snotty attitude. We were told there were no tables available even through we could clearly see many open tables! We were the only people waiting to get in. What was that all about? None of us ever tried going back after that. Would rather go any place else with a friendly staff. " - lw

"We had reservations at this restaurant, but we chose to up and eat elsewhere because the very unfriendly staff and chef refused to make any menu accommodation at all for a vegetarian item or two. The chef refused to prepare anything that deviated in any way at all from that which appeared on the menu. It is the first time this has ever happened to me in any restaurant after many years as a vegetarian. The attitude was offensive so they will never get my dollars!" - FR

"Another one of those over-hyped restaurant in Los Angeles. The atmosphere is nice, service is superb. However, the food is second grade, overpriced fare. The frequently mentioned Catfish was overfried and dry. One saving grace was the dessert. " - jc

"We've been to a number of L.A. and "foodie" restaurants, and we have NEVER tasted food anywhere as spectacular as at Shiro. Every time we go it's a struggle between choosing some new dish that's sure to surprise and delight us, and one we are already ecstatic about. Highly recommended." - B&JB

"There's some wonderful, wonderful dishes like the Chinese Ravioli made with wonton skins and filled with salmon mousse. However, there are also some mediocre dishes. But if you hit upon one those spectacular dishes, you'll return again and again." - AF
