"* Hog Pit - 22 9th Ave., New York, tuesday sept 5- virgil's was closed but recommended hog pit.imho anyone with an appetite for pork barbecue ribs should look elsewhere. awful just plain simply awful. this is the way ribs should taste in a chinese restaurant. it is not real barbecus. i think someone out back must be boiling or steaming them. i thought since so highly recommended they would be cooked in some old vat long slow and at low temperatures in a barbecue cooker. no reputable place cooks barbecue the way this place does. fly to sanfrancisco and go to big nate's or sunney bryants in dallas. waste of a pig.francis gould" - fg
