"service was horrible. I was there on Mothers Day and had to duck my head and swerve to avoid getting bumped by the waiters trying to fill drinks. They never said excuse me or anything - if I hadn't ducked they probably would have spilled it all over the table after whacking me in the head. A hostess grabbed an extra chair so fast they didn't even see the items on it. My purse fell to the floor and they didn't even stop to see what they had done. Waiter watched this and laughed. Hated to tip these guys what was expected, I've had better service at Denny's. Had the asparagus soup (OK but bland) and the angus steak with wine sauce. It was good but only enough sauce given for a couple of bites, then no more. Dessert was wonderful - berry tart, vanilla ice cream etc. " - RF

"A wonderful evening! July 22 was our third visit and as enjoyable as the previous two. Service was friendly and efficient. We had a taste of the house smoked Atlantic salmon, which was delicious. I had two specials, the lobster salad with a touch of caviar and the New York steak dabbed with roquefort cheese. Monique had the special foie gras appetizer and the Baby Rack of Lamb. Our entrees were cooked to perfection with sauces that compliment, not overwhelm. We added a glass of Merlot to round out a perfect meal." - eem

"New French/Japanese restaurant replacing Lyon (which closed)at 713 E. Green St. Pasadena. Chef/owner is Akira Hirose formerly of Ritz Carlton Pasadena and most requested chef for special events by distinguished visitors from Japan. Try the Miso Marinated Chilean Sea Bass and Roasted Rack of Lamb in Rosemary sauce." - LM

"After reading about this restaurant right here in "The 'Real' Restaurant Guide", we tried it and were we impressed! The food is simply gorgeous in presentation, and prepared to perfection. I did order the Chilean Sea Bass which was excellent, and my companion ordered the quail which was out of this world!!! The restaurant is beautiful and the service impeccable. Entries round around $20, but are well worth it." - DS

"I had a reservation for 8:00 p.m.on Saturday, 5/22/99. I arrived on time, there was a large crowd of people clustered around the front door, I managed to get inside of the front door only to find a larger crowd of people waiting to be seated, there was no one there to greet people to check the reservations, there is no waiting area, it was mass confusion. I waited about 15 minutes for a host to arrive but apparantly there was no one on duty. It appeared that they were not prepared for the crowd and it appears that they are not ready for crowds of people or maybe they are overbooking. I was not happy!" - RK
