"Good Chinese Food! Try the Spicy Hunan Beef and their Spicy Wonton Soup...definitely flavors to be desired by the most discriminating palates! What do you expect? The first one opened in Chinatown in downtown LA. " - JED

"I heard rave reviews about this restaurant so I dragged my husband, Aunt, and son over to Yang Chow in Pasadena to have a nice family dinner. The food is lousy. Everything tasted the same. The sauteed shrimp smelled and was obviously not fresh. The spinach was too salty. We were not happy with the food at all. To top it off, it cost us $50. I wouldn't mind payign that for a great meal. We're never going back there. " - NM

"I started at the Chinatown location in L.A. Was head overheels when the Pasadena locale opened up.Food: EXCELLENT, you must order Slippery Shrimp - crispy morsels or fried shrimps in a light thin layer of batter that is sweet at first bite, ending in a mild spicey flavor, Fried Green Bean- fresh green beans fried with spices and ground pork, Szechwan Beef- sweet sauce over fried pieces of beef and broccoli, Vegetable MuShu. Items above serve 6 people easily. Atmosphere: OK - not stunning; Cost: Moderate but worth every dollar!" - ez

"Service was very attentive, prices were moderate, the food is light, fresh, and flavorful. Try the slippery shrimp and the string beans with ground pork." - MG
