It's a shame because that restaurant has been there for years, but it has gone down hill in the past 10 years. The last time I ate there it was with a group or people. I didn't want to go, but the rest of the group were from out of town and wanted to try it. All I ordered was 1 beef taco a la carte and they couldn't even get that right. The taco had a fish taste and it was cold in the middle. Several of our party also complained about how the food was either undercooked or seemed like leftovers. Yuck. Will not eat there ever again! They have a unique setup (bar, restaurant, and a walk-up to-go window). On TWO occasions, I waited over 45 minutes to pick up a to-go order that I called in. That was enough for me. My guess is that they are made from Sunday brunch leftovers. The final straw was when my date and I were given an incorrect menu - and then given a load of attitude by the bartender even AFTER I understood what the price was and agreed to pay. Sheesh! I didn't even argue about it in the first place. There are other places nearby where the food is good, the atmosphere is fun, and the service is friendlier. Adios, Alamo! "Forget about peppy californa style emxican food, loaded up with vegetables. This is good old fashioned Texas style mexican food that focuses on the main food groups (beef, tortillas, and cheese) with other goodies like eggs and peppers thrown in.
