"Had dinner at the Ventura Hungry Hunter 3/29/05. Salad was good. We also ordered the clam chowder. It tasted like Cambells canned soup. Not tasty at all. The steak was okay but the red potatoes looked and tasted like they had been reheated several times. The vegetable medley consisted only of over cooked yellow squash (not a veggie medley)The baked potatoe also looked like a warm up from the day before. Wouldn't eat there again. "This is a nice, middle of the road steakhouse. It has a good early bird special. The waitress missed her part several times thru the eve. On a Thurs eve & not very busy at all. Maybe just a lousy waitress. When she brought the check, she stood it up, open faced in front of my guests, like we were at a truck stop. If I have another experience like this one, on my next visit (their last chance), then I will not patronize their business anymore.
