Chicken Adobo by Chef Kat Turner

w/ Coconut Rice and Ginger Beet Greens

This is my riff on a traditional Filipino dish that marries the bright acid of rice vinegar with silky coconut milk and savory tamari. After slowly poaching our locally sourced all-natural chicken legs in the umami-rich marinade I roast them to elevate this dish to transcendent flavor levels. Sticky coconut rice and local sautéed kale round things out for a truly healthful meal that is my #1 dinner to make for the people I love.

About This Chef

If Anthony Bourdain had a little sister, Kat Turner would be it. Bold and curious, Kat became obsessed with the intersection between health, taste, and culture. She created a niche for herself traveling the world as a Private Chef to A list actors, rock stars, and the elite who demand the best. In addition, she honed major skills at restaurants like Dan Barber’s Blue Hill, where she earned a permanent place on the line...could she have made peace with the NYC winters.
